Mike Castrucci Ford Offers “Supercar” Mustang GT

Milford, OH (Vocus/PRWEB) November 23, 2010

How good is the 2011 Mustang GT with its new 5.0 liter V8 engine? The answer is that it is shockingly good. Outrageously good. In fact, it might be safe to say no other performance car has been so revolutionary since the original Mustang’s legendary debut as a mid-year 1964 model. Now, Mike Castrucci Ford of Milford, the number one Ford Dealer in the Cincinnati area, is proud to offer for sale the 2011 Ford Mustang GT powered by the reborn 5.0-liter V8 engine that is setting a new standard for naturally aspirated performance cars.

It only takes a few comparisons to see what makes the 2011 Mustang GT so special. A good comparison is with two absolutely legendary, strikingly designed supercars — The Aston Martin V-12 Vanquish and the Ferrari 550 Maranello.

Introduced in 2001, the Vanquish was Aston Martin’s flagship supercar. Powered by a 6.0 liter V-12 rated at 454 horsepower in the form of a Ford-designed engine. The Ferrari 550 Maranello, by comparison, was introduced in 1996 and was powered by a 5.5-liter V-12 engine that cranked out 485 horsepower. Both the Aston Martin and the Ferrari are capable of absolutely stunning performance.

Just how good the pair of European exotics are was demonstrated in a comprehensive head-to-head test performed by Car and Driver magazine. Both cars, said the magazine, “are among that elite group of superfast cars capable of 0-to-60 blasts in the low-to-mid-four-second realm and of getting to 100 miles an hour in about 10 seconds….”

Specifically, according to Car and Driver’s test results, the Aston Martin delivered a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds. The Ferrari did the same in 4.2 seconds. Performance in the quarter mile was 12.9 seconds at 115 mph for the Aston Martin and 12.7 seconds at 115 mph for the Ferrari. On the skidpad, a measure of a car’s handling capabilities, the Aston Martin pulled 0.91g while the Ferrari managed 0.94g. As for fuel economy, the Aston Martin was rated 11 mpg city and 18 mpg on the highway, while the Ferrari got a lamentable 8 and 13 mpg respectively. Meanwhile, to purchase either of these exotic sports cars took well in excess of six figures. Great performance, but at a steep price.

Now, the 2011 Mustang GT, offers a performance revolution on four wheels. Motor Trend took a look at the new GT in March and found it to be faster than either the Chevrolet Camaro SS or the Dodge Challenger SRT-8. “In the league of naturally aspirated muscle cars,” Motor Trend said, “the new Mustang GT is in a league of its own.”

How does it compare to its European supercar competition? In Motor Trend’s test, the new GT ran from 0-60 in just 4.3 seconds. That’s one-tenth of a second faster than the V-12 Aston Martin and just one-tenth of a second slower than the Ferrari 550 Maranello. In the quarter mile, the Mustang GT ran 12.8 seconds at 110.8 mph, again snugly in between the times posted by the the Europeans.

In the handling department, the Mustang GT burned up the skidpad, pulling 0.94g, handily beating the Aston Martin and matching the Ferrari.

Now for the best part — unlike the Ferrari and the Aston Martin, the Mustang is affordable. At Mike Castrucci Ford of Milford, Cincinnati’s number one volume Ford dealer, a new 2011 Ford Mustang GT premium, in beautiful grabber blue and nicely equipped with 6-speed manual transmission and 6-way power/heated front seats is available for just $ 36,000. Moreover, this Mustang supercar is easy on the wallet when it comes to operating expenses too. Unlike the Ferrari and the Aston Martin, the Mustang is economical to operate and is rated 17 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway.

The Mustang GT offers unmatched performance and value. Those interested in experiencing the new Mustang GT supercar can do so at Cincinnati’s number one volume Ford dealer, Mike Castrucci Ford of Milford.
